MarkIt Legal was founded on the belief that legal planning shouldn’t end once a business is formed or a trademark is registered. Kristen Weiss helps creators, entrepreneurs, business owners and families protect what they build at every stage, from launching a business and securing a brand to preserving the wealth it creates for the next generation.
Her experience ranges from first-time founders to Fortune 500 retailers, including business transactions exceeding $250 million and representation of influencers and public figures. Every client gets that same strategic perspective, whatever the size of the matter.

Do you work with clients outside Florida?
Yes, for trademark registration and creator economy work. Trademarks are registered through the federal USPTO, and brand deals and FTC disclosure rules are contract and federal matters, so we represent those clients anywhere in the United States. Estate planning, probate, trust administration and business law matters are handled for clients throughout Florida.
Who do you typically work with?
Founders and small business owners, content creators and public figures, product brands, and Florida families planning their estates. Many clients come to us for one thing, such as a trademark or an LLC, and stay as their needs grow into contracts, succession planning and estate planning.
Is MarkIt Legal the same firm as Kristen Weiss Legal?
Yes. Kristen Weiss Legal is now MarkIt Legal. Same attorney, same firm, same commitment to clients. The legal entity is Kristen Weiss, PLLC, doing business as MarkIt Legal.
How do consultations work?
Consultations take place by phone or video, so you can meet with Kristen from wherever you are.
