Why this firm exists
I spent the first part of my career at defense firms, which is an education in how disputes actually unfold and how much of the damage was preventable. Most of what lands in litigation traces back to a document somebody did not write, a structure nobody thought through, or a plan that was put off one year too long.
MarkIt Legal is built around the other side of that. Trademarks filed before the brand is launched. Operating agreements written before the partners disagree. Estate plans put in place while everyone is healthy and the conversation is easy. The work is less dramatic and it is worth considerably more.

Founders and business owners who want the structure right from the start: the entity, the operating agreement, the partnership terms, and eventually the plan for selling the business or handing it off.
Creators, brands and creative agencies doing business in the creator economy. That means trademarks, brand deal, influencer and agency contracts, FTC compliance, and clear answers about who owns the work.
Families who want to protect what they have built and keep the people they love out of probate court, and the families already in the middle of an estate who need someone to walk them through it.
Why one firm for all three
These are not three separate practices that happen to share a website. A creator's brand is a trademark question, an entity question and, eventually, an estate planning question. A business owner's operating agreement and their trust have to say the same thing about what happens to the company. Most firms handle one piece and send you elsewhere for the rest, and the gaps between those pieces are where problems start. Here, the person who drafted your operating agreement is the person who builds your succession plan.

Estate planning, probate, trust administration and business law throughout Florida. Trademark registration is federal, and so is most creator and influencer work, so those clients come from anywhere in the country.
